English language is one of the biggest requirements for the university, as the North East of England is majorly an English speaking part of the world. European countries use IELTS or International English Language Testing System to determine a candidate's speaking, reading, writing and hearing abilities.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Generally, the course requirements will be a minimum score of 6.0, with at least 5.5 or higher in each component: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
The University of Sunderland has assessed this student's English language ability as being equivalent to at least level B2 of the CEFR in all four components (reading, writing, speaking and listening).
