English Language Requirements:

The University of the West of Scotland stipulates varying English language requirements based on both course specifics and the country of origin of prospective students. For detailed information on the specific language proficiency criteria for each course, as well as country-specific requirements, applicants are advised to refer to the official university website's English language requirements page. Adhering to these requirements ensures a comprehensive understanding and proficiency in the English language, facilitating academic success in the chosen program. UWS mostly accepts the following English language tests and many more:

• 1) IELTS: Overall score of 6.0, with no less than 5.5 for each component
• 2) PTE (Academic): Overall score of 59 to 64, with no element less than 59.
• 3) TOEFL (IBT): Overall score of 78, with no element less than 17.
• 4) Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): 176 overall; no sub-test less than 169
• 5) Cambridge English: Advance (CAE): 176 overall; no sub-test less than 169

UWS Student Accommodation

Staying in University accommodation during your studies is one of the best way to understand the culture of new place, making new friends and creating valuable relationship with professors are some of the stuff  you can engage in doing. All the UWS campuses provide students a chance to get accommodation on offer. 

Ayr Campus Accommodation

The team of Resident Assistants are on site 24 hours, 7 days a week providing residents to create a safe environment for the students. These Resident Assistants are also responsible for your safety in the campus. The Resident Assistants are responsible for organizing the social events calendar with activities planned throughout the year to help residents integrate, socialize and make new friends. En-suite study bedroom costs £114 per week for the 2021/22 session. Studio Flats cost £164 per week for the 2021/22 session. Our accommodation price list provides the full range of prices. We have options to pay in full or set up a payment plan to meet the costs of accommodation.

London Campus

The London Campus is Located in the historic London Docklands, a 1-minute walk from East India DLR station, you will find our newly expanded campus. Our next generation campus features a stunning atrium, with light and airy teaching and learning spaces and great views across London. The campus is filled with Technology, flexible breakout and study spaces encourage interaction and collaboration amongst our students. This greatly enhances their success in learning.
